After more than 20 years of work in wine industry,now he is a well-knwon as a senior wine taster and winemaker.Chen Qingchang said,he didn't chose wine as major but was transferred to study wine.It's accidental to work in wine industry.

After graduation,he refused the assigned job but chose the work he found by himself.Because after three years of study,he fell in love with wine.

"At that time,Weilong covered land of less than 2 hectares with old workshop and eauipments.It mainly make half juice wines,with annual production below 200 tons.It's quite different from what I imagined,I almost wanted to give up."he said.But luckily,the new general manager Wang Zhenhai(now he is the president od Weilong) made several refroms with his pioneering spirit.The winery got new life and he gradually gained confidence.The he decided to remain in the winery.

During the 20 years,though there were many hardships,but he felt very satisfied.He said,"With the development of Weilong,I have also grown up and made my contributions for its growth."

Because he studied wine,he was appointed deputy chief of technical department.In order to master wine technology,he studied from each process of winemaking.He is also responsible for new wine research and development.Weilong has been doing very well in this field.Up to now,the company has launched more than 20 wines that enjoy good sale.

In recent years,the winery newly launched organic wines to meet consumers demand.Their organic vineyards are located in Gansu,it's  2,000 kilometers from Yantai.So Chen Qingchang often travels from these two places.He said when his wines won recognition from consumers,the happiness was incomparable.

No pains no gains,Chen Qingchang achieved great success in scientific research during his over 20 years in Weilong and won many awards.

At last,when talking about the industry, he said, " As a winemaker, personal fate is closely related to industry development. So when there are some problems,you should be confident about its future."  About the future of domestic wines,he commented, "After two generations hard work, Chinese wines have achieved gratifying results. The quality of wines is improving, and some wines have won many awards on world competitions.  Chinese wines will not lose to imported wines. China will be a grat nation for wine comsumption,　but also a powerful nation for great wines. That's our Chinese winemaker's responsibility and goal."
