The 28th Class of OIV MSc Visited Beijing and Huailai Regions

After the eastern foot of helan mountain region,the 28th Class of OIV MSc arrived in Beijing for wine study where they visited universities,wine importers and wineries in Huailai region.
First they listened a lecture on China wine regions made by professor Li Demei in Beijing University of Agriculture.Professor Li Demei also prepared chinese wines tasting for them,8 wines from China's different wine regions.
After that the students visited DIVA company.Yiftach Bar,general manager of DIVA China met the students and shared their operating experience and marketing strategies in China wine market.
Then the group visited Hebei Chateau Martin's wine club in Beijing.Pucui China Fine Wines Alliance prepared wines from Hebei's Huailai and Qinhuangdao regions.
During the tasting,Tian Jiang,general manager of Chateau Martin introduced the development of Huailai region.Winemaker Li Rongjie shared some datas on Huailai's climate,soil,etc. French Sommelier Nicolas Carre talked about wine education in China and market changes.He is very confident about Chinese wines and its market development.Guillaume Roussy ,representative of Les Huit de Loire also shared his opinions on Chinese wines and market.
On the early morning of June 3rd,the students visited Chateau Sungod in Huailai.They visited its 30 years historic vineyards and varietal vineyards.There were about 50-60 different varieties.They were very curious about old vins,chinese vineyard management and vine burying.Besides historic Thevineyards,chateau sungod's development history and wines also very attractive.The students tasted its sparkling,chenin blanc white,Cabernet Sauvigon red also a brandy made by local Longyan grape.
After Beijing,they will come to Jiaodong region for visiting.
