The 28th Class of OIV MSc Visited Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain Region

On May 30th,The 28th Class of OIV MSc arrived in Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain region and started their 3 days wine study in Ningxia.Ningxia is the first province/region in China to be accepted as an official observer in the OIV.Also,the eastern foot of Helan Mountain region is China's hottest region.
The 11 students with the lead of Jim Sun,chief editor of www.winechina.com first visited Chateau Yuhuang in Qingtongxia region.The winery's beautiful scenery and comfortable environment drove away their tiredness during road travels.
Liu Pengtu,the general manager guided them visited the winery's vineyards,cellar and workshops and introduced local natural geographical conditions,Chateau Yuhuang's vineyard management and winemaking details.
Then they visited Xixia King Winery,the oldest wine enterprise in Ningxia.Yu Huiming,the deputy general manager welcomed the students.The old and vast fermentation tanks,large honor exhibition room all surprised them.The eastern foot of helan mountain region's more than 30 years developments were shown in front of them.
Chateau Yunmo is a star Chinese winery which was shown in "Red Obsession". So its name may sounds familiar.Ma Yongming,the general manager met the students.In eastern foot of helan mountain region,there are many small chateaux,big chateaux like Yunmo is few.They were surprised that such a large winery with big scale that can still make many good wines!
Domaine Chandon (Ningxia) Moet Hennessy is the place they must visit£¬its vineyard management,sparkling wines...
In recent years,Ningxia university is developing fast in wine education with many students trained for the wine industry.The group of OIV MSc met Zhang Junxiang,professor of Ningxia university on May 31st.
The last stop,the students visited silver heights.Silver Heights is one of china's boutique wineries.There are lots of stories to tell.Winemaker Emma Gao shared wines with them.
Next,the students will go for Beijing,Huailai and Yantai for study.
