In 1976,Sun Tengfeng came to work in Shacheng fruit wine company,the predecessor of China GreatWall Wine Company.Though he was a common worker at that time,he became very interested in wiemaking during work.In 1978,GreatWall accepted the research on dry white wine,which is a national key scientific research project.He was very lucky to be a member of this research group.It was at this time he started to rethink his life and dreamed to be a winemaker.Then he got into wine and started his winemaking career.

The project lasted for 5 years.In 1983,all research programmes were completed.China's first bottle of dry white wine was born.The research won the second National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology,which had greatly promoted the rapid development of Chinese wine industry.Through the research,his knowledge and professional ability were improved.In 1984,he went to Italy for viticulture and Oenology study.

When back in 1986,he devoted into Champagne method sparkling wine research and development,the national "Spark Plan"project.In 1990,the research passed state   verification,which was another great breakthrough in Chinse wine industry.

4O years working in wine industry,he has achieved many awards.In 2005,he was invited to be interntional wine judge by OIV.Other titles like Chinese wine master,excellent winemaker,etc.In face of these honors,Sun Tengfei said he was very lucky.It was GreatWall provided a vast stage for him.Because of this,he devoted himself in cultivating GreatWall brand  and regard wine career as life.

In the late 90s,industry technology of world winemaking were undergoing profoud adjustment and change.With fierce competition,there was increasing high requirments for quality.Single variety and shortage of red wine grapes blocked the development of Chinese wineries.Sun Tengfei then put forward the mode of "enterprise+ science& technology+base+growers" . He also made Huaizhuo Basin wine grape comprehensive standards,which local cultivation can depend on that.

Since then,he and his team developed the GreatWall "estate"series wines.From 1998-2001,he developed several high-end wines like GreatWall estate Cabernet Sauvignon wine,Semillon,Riesling,Chardonnay as well as Gewürztraminer white wines,which created a new development mode of "Chinese wine estate".

In the 21th century,GreatWall estate was transformed and upgraded to "GreatWall Chateau Sungod".At the new stage,Sun Tengfei developed dozens of GreatWall Sungod series wines.From 2008 to 2010,he developed the GreatWall Sungod Riesling,chardonnay sparkling wine with champagne method.The sparkling wine and reserve merlot,cabernet sauvignon won third prize of Hebei Technical Progress.And GreatWall Chateau Sungod special reserve syrah won gold medal on Brussels International wine competition.Sungod Riesling won gold medal on 14th Asia wine competition.In 2010,GreatWall Sungod series wines became the only designted wine for world expo and Boao Asia Forum.In 2014,GreatWall Chateau Sungod Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 and Riesling 2011 became designated wine on APEC Economic Leaders Meeting.

Nowadays,the GreatWall wines have onto world stage on behalf of Chinese great wines.Looking back on Sungod wines achievements,Sun Tengfei said,"it's not only a dream of GreatWall,but also my dreams."

He treated each bottle of wine as his children."The process of winemaking is like having a baby.Winemaker is excellent coach who cultivates world champion."When talking about this,his face turns a happy smile.
