Shang Liguang,the mayor of Qinhuangdao city made an welcome speech.He said,Qinhuangdao was a beautiful coastal city,with long history, rich cultures, good environment and beautiful scenery. China’s first bottle of dry red wine also was born here.Now wine industry has become an important industry in Qinhuangdao.Besides,Qinhuangdao was also a sports city.The two events held together offered chance for the combination of wine culture with sport and leisure culture.

Wang Qi,vice president of China Alcoholic Drinks Association summarized current industry’s development with statistic datas.He said,the industry now goes toward mature.There are opportunities and challenges.He wish Qinhuangdao can insist on ecology,focus on high-end and cluster development.

After more than 30 years of development,Qinhuangdao has become a well-known wine region and established cooperation relationship with many world famous wine regions.On the opening ceremony,the city of Qinhuangdao signed product exchange and sister cities agreements with Australia Onkaparinga city and Italy Tuscany Montepulciano wine region.

The organizing committee of wine festival also made anniversary wines for Marathon competition.Many enterprises offered some supports for the competition.The organizing committee also delivered plaque for those cooperative partners.

On the ceremony,"Qinhuangdao Wine Trading Website"were formally launched.The website launched many wine promotion activities for the wine festival.In order to let more wine consumers take part in this wine festival,the organizing committee also held wine activities in 3 other cities,Ji Nan,Quan Zhou,and Shi Jiazhuang.
