The meeting was organized by China Alcoholic Drinks Association’s Wine Branch and Gansu Wine Industry Association. Over 100 persons, including experts of the association’s technical committee, national wine judges as well as technical staffs from Hexi Corridor wine regions were present at the meeting.Wang Zuming, secretary general of the China Alcoholic Drinks Association’s wine branch hosted the meeting.

At the beginning, Huo Ronggui, secretary of the Wuwei Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)and deputy director of  China·Hexi Corridor 4th Organic Wine Festival’s organizing committee welcomed all the guests and made an introduction on recent Wuwei’s  wine industry development in his opening speech.

Zhong Qiding introduced the progress in wine quality and safety standards

Wang Qi,deputy director of China Alcoholic Drinks Association delivered a speech on current domestic and International wine industry development.He noted that,the whole industry experienced a slowdown,which influenced by national policies and economic environment,especially for wine industry.Many problems still remain in domestic wine industry,such as unreasonable product structure,low quality-value ratio,lack of table wines,technical support,wine’s personality and styles,etc.He advocated everyone to pay more attention to innovations in the concept,technology as well as products and help promote wine industry’s transformation and development.

Afterwards,Dr.Zhong Qiding of China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industry released research progress in wine quality and safety standards.

During the meeting,national wine judges also tasted Hexi Corridor wines and 14 best selling imported wines.Organizers of ProWein will introduce its next year’s exhibition.
