On July 26th,Judges for Yanqing Wine Exposition- 4 MWs, Anthony Hanson, Roger Bohmrich, Rob Geddes ,and Kym Milne visited Huailai Amethyst Manor and kicked off their trip in China.
The winery prepared big lunch and 14 wines from Manors of Amethyst ,Red Leaf and Deshang.After tasting,4 MWs gave professional reviews of these wines and high praise,especially Amethyst manor¡¯s 2009 Cabernet Franc,2011 Petit Manseng,Red leaf¡¯s 2011 Marselen.Also,they discussed about Yanhuai Valley¡¯s climate,geography and grape plantings.
Anthony Hanson MW said,it¡¯s his first stop in China and was surprised by these wines. Now he had new understanding about Chinese wines.
Roger Bohmerich MW said,Yanhuai Valley would be China¡¯s top quality wine region and Huailai Amethyst Manor would also become the leading Chinese wine producer.
After wine tasting,the group visited Huailai Amethyst Manor¡¯s workshops and underground cellar.
