  At present,Green food and organic food seem to be the highest standard.Now wines are also marketed as organic.

In wine industry, it¡¯s believed that wine¡¯s quality largely depends on grapes. Zhang Chunya,senior engineer of Dynasty wines said, Dynasty always put food safety as quality¡¯s first important factor. In 1992, it achieved green food certification,which was the first company certificated.Also, it passed certification of ISO9001 quality management system,ISO14001 environmental management system and HACCP system.

 

She added that,"If Chinese wine¡¯s quality wants to go in line with International market,it must have high-quality grapes.Dynasty invested a lot for that.At present,we have grape bases in Xinjiang, Ningxia, Penglai, and surrounding areas in Tianjin."

 

So what¡¯s organic wine,she explained that,"Organic wine shouldn¡¯t use any chemical fertilizers, pesticide, and herbicides, only can use natural fertilizers.Grapes should hand-harvested,and fermented by natural yeast.The use amount of sulfur dioxide as low as possible.Besides,there was strict rules for organic wine packaging materials."
