ASC Fine Wines Consolidates Regional Restructure

ASC Fine Wines, a leading wine importer in China, has announced its plan to consolidate its regional structure into three major branches in an effort to further strengthen its competitive advantage, effective from 1 October.
The three branches consist of: Greater East Region, Greater South Region, and Greater North Region. The Greater East Region, covering Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan and Hubei provinces, will be headed Arthur Wang, current general manager of East China.
The newly established Greater South region will expand to include Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan provinces, Hong Kong and Macau. Jonathan Mather, the current general manager for Hong Kong and Macau will oversee the region.
Meanwhile, the Greater North Region will cover the entire country except the two regions above and Taiwan. Simon Liang, current general manager for North China and West China will oversee the region.
All the new regional heads will report directly to Simon Wang, COO of ASC.
Commenting on the change, Yoshihiko Shibuya, CEO of ASC said: ¡°The imported wine market in China is changing rapidly. The re-organisation this time is our proactive initiative in response to the market development.¡±
¡°I am convinced the new organizational structure will synergise the resources and market know-how among our regional offices as well as improving our overall corporate efficiency. These moves are pivotal to prepare ASC to cope with future market dynamic in China.¡±
