Chinese wine producer Changyu has acquired its first Bordeaux property, while the Labrune family has bought a chateau in Fronsac.
Changyu has announced the purchase of 90% of Bordeaux Superieur estate Chateau Mirefleurs from the Castel Group for €3.3 million.
It is the first time China's leading wine producer has bought a wine property in France although it owns the Cognac producer Roullet-Fransac.
Meanwhile, the Labrune family has announced it is taking over Chateau de la Dauphine in Fronsac (pictured) from the Halley family.
The 40 hectare property, which is managed biodynamically, produces around 200,000 bottles a year and is recognised as one of the leading estates in the Libourne region.
Stephanie Barousse, commercial director at the property, has been appointed deputy CEO.
Castel is not the first French group to divest itself of a Bordeaux property recently. Credit Agricole Grands Crus sold Sauternes chateau Rayne Vigneau to Tresor du Patrimoine last month.
