Recently,the people¡¯s government of Yanqi county set up a leading group for the region¡¯s wine geographical indication application.
Now,there are 28 wine grape planting enterprises.Grape planting area has reached 6666.67 hectares,with 3,000 hectares in production.3 large leading wineries are Xiangdu, Tiansai, and Zhongfei.And there are 9 smaller wineries and several wine chateaux.
According to the region¡¯s grape industry long-term planning,grape planting area will reach 33333.33 hectares by 2020,with the aim to make grape industry become another pillar industry after cotton and fragrant pear.
