The quality of wine grapes in Chang Li is better than previous years.2014 is another good vintage since 2009.

Hebei Chang Li wine region lies on the west of Bohai sea,at the foot of Yanshan mountain,at the border of Chang Li,Lu Long,and Fu Ning counties.It has 4,000 hectares of wine grapes,with annual production 60,000 tons.Wine grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay,etc.
On September 27th,China National Wine Quality Supervision and Inspection Center tested each index of wine grapes and found that sugar has reached to 20 degrees,increased 20%;Acidity at the same level as last year;Tannin,total phenol,color content increased between 20%-80%.
Now,Cabernet Sauvignon hasn¡¯t yet been harvested.And it¡¯s expected to be started in early October.According to some statistics,local cabernet sauvignon can meet the local demand.A small amount of grapes will be sold to other regions.
Ripe Syrah and Merlot grapes tannin,total phenol and color content are higher than 2013.Cabernet Franc keeps the same level in total phenol,other index all higher than last year.
