Tesco is slashing the prices of first growth Bordeaux and other fine wines in a major sale starting tonight.
Between midnight tonight and Tuesday 20 May the supermarket is offering a 15% discount on all its fine wines bought via the Tesco wine website, Wine by the Case.
The promotion includes over 200 wines and comes with a minimum purchase size of two 12-bottle cases.
Among the labels included in the offer are first growths Lafite, Margaux and Mouton-Rothschild 2009, as well as Right Bank Bordeaux such as Cheval Blanc and Pavie, and Australia's flagship fine wine Penfold's Grange.
Nick Juby, commercial manager for Wine by the Case commented: "With lots of new wines soon to be added to the range, we are in the midst of spring cleaning the fine wine warehouse in order to make space."
Continuing he said, "There are fantastic savings to be had -customers can save 720 pounds on a case of Lafite 2009, or over 50 pounds on a case of Jean-Claude Boisset Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Les Perrieres 2009, plus there are the added benefits of Clubcard points and FuelSave!"
